Mihail Poisic was born in the city of Dnipro, Ukraine. He holds a doctorate in economic sciences from the National Institute of Economic Research. Former Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce (1995-1997). He is the author of the book “Trends in reforms”.
Poisic is a declared supporter of the Eurasian Union, expressing several times in the press the confidence that the Eastern market is preferable for Moldova under the current conditions. In his opinion, after signing the Association Agreement with the EU, Moldova risks losing the Russian market which is a basic one for agricultural products. He also promoted the idea of “inefficiency” and demonstrated against the construction of the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline as a future alternative source of gas.
He is a reference expert in Sputnik Moldova and in the media affiliated with the Socialist Party.
